OK, I am convinced my mother is completely toxic. She sent out a mass email earlier this week featuring a poem I wrote when I was in middle school. The poem described how hopeless I felt when I was being relentlessly bullied and beaten up every day at school becuase of being Apspwerger and ADHD. When my mother first read the poem when I was in middle school, she immediately demanded that I write a happy poem since my life could not possibly be that bad. When I responded to her by telling her I could not walk down the halls of school without people mocking my speech impediment or physically assaulting me to the point where I was covered with bruises, my mother told me that there were people in wheelchairs who would give anything to walk again, and my being bullied at school was something I should just get over because it was no big deal. Now, earlier this week and decades later, my mother sent out a mass email with this poem I wrote and had actually forgotten about! She is claiming I never told her how bad the bullying was several years after the fact to try to milk some pity for herself with a massive lie. I have lost complete respect for my mother and am through with her.
