When watching the Maury Povich Show on channel 5 today, some really crazy girl ran off the stage so far that she ended up on some episode of The Jerry Springer Show in 2018 ! Anyways, I am so sad that Maury is retiring after 31 years, I will be lost without this entertainment!!

Happy Heavenly Hollywood Birthday everyone's favorite Wicked Witch! Margaret Hamilton was born on December 9, 1902 in Cleveland, Ohio. She was 36 years old and had already had several small roles in classic MGM films when she was called to replace Oscar winner Gale Sondergard (Best Supporting Actress, 1936) as Elmira Gulch and her infamous alter ego, The Wicked Witch of the West in the film version of "The Wizard of Oz". She agreed to let the studio give her the "ugly" treatment, and was a gracious good sport for being identified as the Wicked Witch for the rest of her life. RIP, Ms. Hamilton. Thank you for allowing yourself to be "ugly" for the enjoyment of generations.
