Heading to a cookout with my sister and her 12yr old daughter. My niece is holding a watermelon. Ok, we all know what's next, righ? She says, "I'm carrying a watermelon". Of course I'm laughing. I had to show her the famous clip from the Dirty Dancing movie. She stood there and just rolled her eyes. Someone come get my niece. I'm outta here!

I said this to an 17-year old recently, caught myself and said, “Oh wait, you have no idea what I’m talking about.” He said, “Of course I do, it’s when Baby carried the watermelon to the party where she meets Johnny.” I was VERY IMPRESSED.

As Thanksgiving is approaching I am reminded of mom and grandma in the kitchen Thanksgiving morning working over the stuffing that Grandma had prepared before she came over. Mama made regular stuffing for us but grandma made special stuffing for Momma. It had liver and giblets maybe maybe even gizzards. I know in my little heart I was mortified at the thought of the things I was hearing LOL but the point of the story was mom was just like a little kid once grandma was around and I could sit and watch grandma smack her hand saying "stay out of the stuffing" and Momma saying "mom it's too good to not eat it!" and Grandma telling her "you have to wait!". 😄 I remember just laughing because I kept thinking mom is acting like a little kid just like me and Grandma is acting just like Momma smacking her hand to stay out of the food saying wait till dinner time.

Wanna hear about our last couple weeks? Do ya do ya? Totaled my car + camper. Hubby's hours got cut tremendously at work. Ordered food for dinner they charged my card 4 times. Our vehicle just shut down on the freewOut doing lawn care and my mower won’t stay started. Just know I’m laughing to keep from crying. There is no way my own will power and strength is holding me up right now. I absolutely want to fall to pieces but I am still standing. I literally do not know what we did to deserve all this. I’m so tired. So tired. What. Freaking. ELSE. If my attitude seems to suck right now it’s because LIFE SUCKS right now.

I'm so sorry to hear about all the bad luck lately. You are a strong beautiful woman that's has gone through hell. You will prevail and be even stronger. Continue doing your best, and give it all to God. I promise you that it'll all work out. Take a deep breath maybe scream let it out and keep going. Much love your way.

I’m so sorry for all the bad luck. It’s alright to lose it sometimes. It might make you feel better. It’s not a sign of weakness to let it go. This too shall pass. I know just how hard you guys have worked for everything you have. You will rebuild again. So sorry you're going through all this. At least you and your family are alive and healthy. Things can always be worse!

Lessons I’ve learned in the past 2 years. Spirituality tends to be performative for a lot of people. It doesn’t have a look. People don’t have to look at you and immediately make an assumption of what you are. It’s deeper than an aesthetic. I actually realized a lot of people that LOOK the part know themselves the least. And it changed the way I approach people and looked for like minded individuals. It also changed the way I present myself. It’s more of a state of knowing and being than what you wear . I also learned that a lot of things are more alike than they are separate. Society has put division in places where division doesn’t actually exist. We are more the same than we are not. That’s all I have to say for now.

I’m about to do my hair again. Let’s see if I can get that 2 days down to 1 this time around lol What’s a good informative and useful documentary I can watch while I do my hair? Also accepting of podcasts but prefer a documentary.
