I enjoy feeding birds, even blackbirds. I don’t discriminate - I even make sure the other wildlife are fed. Today, while taking a quick break, I look out the kitchen window to enjoy a single blackbird dining under the pear tree. In an instant, a hawk flies down and eats the single blackbird. Now, I feel guilty for feeding so many birds at the house and around trees, windows, etc. I guess everything has to eat? Btw: I pounded on the window cussing the hawk. It flew off with the blackbird in tow.
