I’m just here to remind you that CHOOSING TO PROTECT yourself and the family that YOU created, at all costs, is NOT selfish. No matter how much people will try to guilt trip you - it is NOT your responsibility. I struggled for a very LONG time with this and I did everything I could do to be a “good” daughter. Sometimes you have to accept the fact that if they don’t want to, they will never change. I have to take care of MY babies and family now - in all of the ways that I was NEVER taken care of. Show up for them in all the ways that I was never shown up for.
