What Could Be A The Best Holy Week Dinner For Family?
I'm looking for ideas for Easter dinner (A Dinner For Family). My daughter and her girlfriend are eating a Ham lunch at the friend's family already, then coming over for dinner with us.
You see, I don't want to make them eat another Ham dinner again here. What do you think that i should cook for a change?
I think that cooking something like lamb with new potatoes and asparagus or lamb chops for dinner to keep the Lord's tradition, or A nice roast sounds good to me too.

I think that when people are hungry, they just eat whatever. If what you mean what to cook for your family at dinner time, then yes, you are right, there got to be something delicious to cook at the kitchen.
I suggest: The crockpot is a good one but as for time taken to fix things before cooking them is probably important. I take veggies and meat together in a baking dish and cook it all together, Similar to the crock pot without lifting the heavy crock cooking pot.- By Jade Tailor
I just had some sardines (fish on a can) with Mexican corn tortillas and a cup of orange juice for a change as lunch, and at the dinner I had chicken sandwich on French bread with a coke.

I agree with you about the delicious potatoes and Lamb, because this is a real dish for a family with a small group sitting by the dinner table at home.

At my home, we would normally have a big ham dinner with all the kids, but because of Covid threat, it will just be me and Don. We are having steak on the grill, baked potatoes, broccoli, and pumpkin pie.
Only my sisters's family was thinking poached salmon with peas and new potatoes sounds very spring-like. There are lots of ways to Fancy those up. - By Joel Louis
My family tradition is always Leg of Lam with the fixings, and it should be make on the oven roasted. Even in the past, we had some BBQ instead. Eating is a pleasure and it must be great.

Chicken salad croissants with veggies is exactly what my family had, and we really enjoy it in our last night dinner.
I got another dish that i would love to have this holy date too: Chicken salad croissants, couple types salad, veggies and dip, couple types of cookies /bars and lots of time to sit , talk, and enjoy each other’s company! Light meal after a heavy meal. You could do couple of soups also along with salad.
This will probably get buried, but you might try lamb with new potatoes and asparagus and I know my brother will cook with his fiance at their home the famous dish Pulled Pork Potato salad baked beans slaw deviled eggs and Italian cream cake.
i also seen some of my neighbors talking about their dishes and these are some: Lasagna, green beans & garlic bread, hamburgers or hot dogs on the grill, potato salad, deviled eggs, Pause Kabobs, Leg of lamb.
but, perhaps my next door neighbor Lucy Adams has her dish planned very well, this what she said: I live in Texas, and I've never seen leg of lamb or any lamb at any of my groceries. I've never even tasted lamb. And something you have to order special, ask the search engine online to shine results with videos etc. Apparently, Texas only believes in poultry, pigs and beef. Please, if someone has Lamb extra, send it to me !You've got it all right.
Make another big meal at a later date! I'd rather fix anything than potato salad!! I love it and deviled eggs too but total pains.
Some people eat Lamb nearly every night and they say that It’s very tender tasty and delicious (You need to cook it with garlic and Rosemary to get a nice flavor ).
I love that kind of welcome dinner into Spring.I never had a lamb dish that tasted good. Just turns me off to think that it is very hard to catch the taste! Do you do something special to prepare it? I know many people who love it but I just can’t! To me it is another Aussie here, lamb has got too dear for me, but I was brought up on it.

Do roast beef! But usually people have done a heavy meal earlier in day they might be as hungry. Maybe homemade pizzas. 7 layer fresh salads..wings. Dessert.. Key Lime Pie or even good brownies!

My husband and I, for a long while we lived near both sets of parents and on holidays my parents always did the ham and turkey and my sweet mother in law would always do a roast, mainly a prime rib or a rib roast including lamb, or a regular beef or pork roast. She was an amazing cook and as I enjoyed my parents feast, at the holiday dinners with my inlaws were such a fresh taste of deliciousness and we looked so forward to.
The holy season is in our DNA, that's why we celebrate it big every year.
I really only eat lamb and a little chicken. But, my family told me they will cook like this:
Baked potato bar. The list of toppings is endless. We keep the potatoes hot in a cooler.
The also think poached salmon with peas and new potatoes sounds very spring-like. There are lots of ways to Fancy those up.My son would normally have a big ham dinner with all the kids ( my grandchildren ), but because of Covid threat, it will just be me and Don. We are having steak on the grill, baked potatoes, broccoli, and pumpkin pie.
