Can you recommend any healthy semi filling meals I can make to eat with a full mouth extraction?

I had a full mouth extraction done almost one month ago and am still pretty much on a liquid / very soft diet.
I'm so tired of eggs, soup, yogurt, smoothies, bananas, and breakfast essentials. Thanks for any help,  I'm unable to chew anything no matter how soft. The dentist messed up my gums really bad and I'm no where close to even halfway healed.

  • Make you up some instant mashed potatoes, then make some gravy and add some shredded meat to gravy and let it cook together for about 1/2 hour. Put over the taters. If meat is shredded real good, you shouldn't have to chew it. Hope you feeling better soon.

  • Re-fried beans, with some melted cheese on top and guacamole for a meal. Or  this one, instead: Mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, peas... Soups (can puree down), jello, pudding, rice stuffing, Ramen ( Ramen is for making a Japanese noodle soup. Break it into small pieces before you cook).

  • Are you able to rinse your mouth gently with warm salt water 3-4 times a day? If you do, then get to know that It will deswell the mouth (how to reduce swelling in face) and accelerate the healing process.

  • It sounds to me like you already have a way to blend / puree food. One thing I found was to blend everything separately, (veggies, meats, with spices etc. ) then eat it as you would with regular food so your mouth gets the taste of each one and it seems to satisfy more.
Probably psychological (inside your mind), but I felt like I had eaten a meal rather than just drinking stuff.
The milkshakes always were a treat for me and were really filling.
The homemade re-fried beans. Sounds weird but when I had bariatric surgery it was so satisfying (the bariatric surgery diet is required in this list: Soft foods Ground lean meat or poultry. Flaked fish. Eggs. Cottage cheese. Cooked or dried cereal. Rice. Canned or soft fresh fruit, without seeds or skin. Cooked vegetables, without skin. .

  • I tell you, that if you blend most of the foods and just try to drink slow those veggies, fruits and meats, your recovery is going to be somewhere like a week. Otherwise, eating spicy and hard foods will hurt your mouth and the suffering is longer.

  • I will eat baby food from the Gerber small small tubs (small tubs or glass reservoirs).By little sister had a mouth surgery a year ago and we feed her fruits and meats from that baby foods provider and everything went great, now she is healed already and very happy.
    This is how it goes:
You can buy it at Walmart outlets, the breakfast & dinner inside small tubs.

A Bariatric surgery diet with soft foods.
    Ground lean meat or poultry.
    Flaked fish, Eggs, Cottage cheese.
    Cooked or dried cereal, Rice.
Canned or soft fresh fruit, without seeds or skin.
    Cooked vegetables, without skin.
    Or here is another one!
I made broccoli and cheddar soup and a taco soup and put them in the vitamix. I was on liquid for 4 weeks and last week advanced to blended soups.
    Strongly recommended, they were delicious.

  • It could be baby food, if you like.
I made broccoli and cheddar soup and a taco soup and put them in the Vitamix ( Healthy and tasty food dish ).

  • You can take a regular meals ( meat potatoes gravy etc.) and side dish mashed sweet potato, butternut it in your blender this is done in nursing homes when patients are unable to eat hard food I hope this will help you. Good taste!

  • I can’t drink hot chocolate, so I buy Ovaltine at the store, mix it with cold or hot milk... it’s delicious, no caffeine !
As far of food, put things in a blender, like noodles, mac and cheese, spaghetti.
Its fine to eat soft foods. However we always have out pints drink ensure High protein and ready-to-drink meal.. You have to keep your nutrition up or you won't heal well.

  • Whip 2 cups heavy whipping cream with a small box of instant pudding until it’s really thick. Not a meal but a nice dessert. I’m diabetic and do this with sugar free pudding, and Get you some Pedialyte and drink it will help you a lot with nutrition

  • I actually have two suggestions to offer you:
1- Biscuits and gravy. The gravy will soften the biscuits. Farina, oatmeal, grits with shredded shrimp.
    Or
2- Puree some grilled steak in the blender with some milk and make thick country gravy. The smoky taste makes a whole new taste.

  • When i went to the dentist to extracted (my wisdom teeth removed at age of eighteen) one of my tooth, i spent three days without using my teeth at all, instead, i had blended veggies and cooked chicken livers o my drinks, it worked fine to me.

  • We all had a tooth removed and with it, the experience of having a hard time eating.
I recomed to rinse your mouth with warm gentle salt water, L-lysine tables ( essential amino acid ) for oral health.
And lots of yogurt, especially plain and add fresh fruit or honey for sweetener

  • All i can say is that my husband has been on soft/liquid diets at times and I’ve blended cooked roast beef and vegetables and with a bit of broth it’s like sop but favorable. Most anything. Hospitals offer items that can be blended and I was surprised at how many foods worked out. Worth a try? Maybe yes.
The mashed potatoes with butter or gravy, custards, jello, sweet potatoes , mushy peas also will work great for the gums healing.

  • Some people I heard about decide for Purée anything you feel like eating!.
Or Try to take a pain pill before you eat and make thing like spaghetti with sauce and no meat. And mac and cheese . Maybe peanut butter and jelly sandwiches re-fried beans. Just think for  a moment, that if yu don't eat in 72 hours or so, the body will collapse of weakness.

    Stuff like that.

  • I want you to know that I am feeling sorry for you! I would be careful with anything spicy. Unless you can make your own baby food it may be very costly. I learned that one from experience. Takes a lot! Whatever you eat, rinse right after with salt water. I hope this will help.
