My grandmother Eliza saved all of the WW2 letters that my grandfather and from a few other soldiers she knew then too who were like family. Grandpa Joe wrote to her when he was in the Navy. I have only read a couple of them… one letter he was on an aircraft carrier ship off the shore of some island in or near Japan. Pretty interesting to read my his words as a young sailor, the rest I will be reading on rainy days for sure. The timeline of the letter dates range from 1939 to 1944.

WOW THAT'S AMAZING!!!!
Very awesome, I love old letters!! Even from people I don't know. It's the same for old handwritten journals, it's like going back in time! When my Grandma died, I got all my letters I had written to her and Grandpa while in the Army.
That is so cool that she saved all of those and that they are still intact, lucky you to have such treasures!
You could make a collection of stamps and letters too.
