It is considered that the amount of $5,580 under the Clean Air Act will be what the Online platform company will pay if it loses the case and that amount multiplied by over 300,000 units sold it could be an amount grater than one billion dollars to pay by the seller.

The corporation Ebay did not accept being guilty and it's lawyers representatives denied the charges in a public statement already, They said that Ebay blocked “a total over 99.9% of listings for the products mentioned and cited by the DOJ, and that amount of blocked listings and many other millions of listings on many years. They also said that EBay got in a partnership with police law enforcement, including the DOJ, for over 20 years on identifying emerging risks and assisting with prevention and law enforcement.

At the DOJ’s a 61-page complaint documentation included screenshots of emissions tampering devices that were listed on eBay’s platform during many years in the past.

It is know that Rolling coal devices are among several tools (a set of tools to install on vehicles exhaust, vehicle's owners and drivers can order installations and used them to disable or tamper with a vehicle’s pre-installed emissions control systems and braking the law because the government agency EPA requires of all vehicles.
